Service Agreement

ARTICLE 1 - CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

1.1 The use of user information belonging to the student (member) by others is prohibited.

1.2 Copying, replicating, distributing, and/or selling the information found on this site is prohibited.

1.3 For your security during credit card transactions through the Virtual POS system, we use the latest technologies. On the page where you enter your card information, there will be a key symbol in your browser’s address bar or at the bottom. This key symbol indicates that none of the information you send through your browser can be seen by third parties. You can perform your transactions securely using our 256-bit SSL security and 3D Secure services without risking your security.

1.4 3D Secure is an authentication system developed by card issuers to ensure the security of online transactions.

1.5 For a transaction made with the 3D Secure system to be considered valid, the cardholder must approve the transaction using a special payment password provided by the bank. Even if your credit card number is known to others, since your password is only known to you, you can conduct secure transactions online.

1.6 In cases where the MEMBER uses a fake and/or stolen card or engages in unlawful or fraudulent transactions through the Virtual POS system, if the bank blocks the amount based on the credit card holder’s request and does not transfer it to or withdraw it from the University’s accounts, the MEMBER accepts that all legal and criminal responsibility lies with them. The MEMBER is fully responsible for the entire amount of such transactions. The MEMBER agrees, acknowledges, and undertakes that the University is authorized to collect the entire service fee along with any delay interest without any notice or warning, and that the MEMBER will pay this amount in cash to the University on the date requested by the University.

ARTICLE 1 - CANCELLATION AND REFUND CONDITIONS

1.1 Refunds are made according to the regulations and board decisions prepared by the university as specified in Article 1.2 of the agreement. The member acknowledges and undertakes to accept the decisions made by the university and the board and to cancel their registration in accordance with the conditions specified in Article 5.2.

1.2 CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION:

For Registration Renewals (Undergraduate-Associate Degree):

  • If the registration is canceled before the start of the academic term, no deduction will be made.
  • For cancellations after the start of the term, the fee will be deducted according to the duration of the education received. The member accepts and undertakes these conditions.

1.3 For New Registrations (Undergraduate-Associate Degree):

  • In the case of central placement registrations, if the registration is canceled before the announced start date of the courses in the academic calendar, no deduction will be made. If the registration is canceled after this date, the fee will be deducted according to the duration of the education received. The member accepts and undertakes these conditions.

1.4 For Registrations via DGS, ÖSYS, Ek ÖSYS, Ek DGS:

  • If the registration is canceled within 5 business days following the registration date, no deduction will be made. After this period, the fee will be deducted according to the duration of the education received and the refund process will be carried out.

1.5 This site is created and managed in Nevşehir. In the case of disputes, the Urgup Courts are authorized.

1 - PARTIES

1.1 This contract is entered into between Kapadokya University, located at “50420 - Mustafapaşa, Ürgüp / Nevşehir” (hereinafter referred to as the “University”), and all individuals performing transactions on “http://pos.kapadokya.edu.tr” (hereinafter referred to as the “Member”).

2 - SUBJECT OF THE CONTRACT

2.1 The rights and obligations of the University and the Member are regulated by the Virtual POS Usage Agreement.

2.2 By using the Virtual POS service, you can perform online payment transactions with your credit card.

 

ARTICLE 3 - RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

3.1 The MEMBER acknowledges and agrees that the registration form and all information provided by them will be accurate, and they will be solely responsible for any damages or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete information. The MEMBER also acknowledges that in such cases, the “Virtual POS Usage Agreement” may be unilaterally terminated by the University, and they will cover any positive/negative damages that the University might incur as a result.

3.2 From the moment you connect to the site, whether you become a member or not, you are considered to have read, understood, and accepted the following terms (articles).

3.3 The University reserves the right to change any of the terms (articles) written in this agreement without prior notice.

3.4 The University reserves the right to temporarily or permanently remove some or all of the services provided on the page.

3.5 Course registrations can only be made after payment of the semester fee. Payment of the fee does not imply course registration; it is the student’s responsibility to complete the course registration.

3.6 The Virtual POS System operates in parallel with other online applications (e.g., Student Affairs Automation, Graduate Applications, etc.). It is the MEMBER’s responsibility to notify the relevant authorities if their user information from other systems is used without their consent. Additionally, it is entirely the MEMBER’s responsibility to close the browser used after utilizing the Virtual POS system. The Virtual POS system, and thus the University, is not responsible for any lost or altered information due to non-compliance with these rules.

3.7 In the event of a violation of one or more of the terms (articles) specified in the agreement, we reserve the right to restrict or terminate usage without any prior warning.

3.8 You are personally responsible for all transactions (actions) performed using the Virtual POS system and are hereby warned that you will be required to cover any damages arising from your actions.

3.9 The Virtual POS System may suspend your membership temporarily or permanently without warning, and if necessary, may resort to legal measures.

3.10 The University is not responsible for any disruptions related to the secure, error-free, timely use of internet services, service quality, or accurate and reliable results, and does not make any guarantees regarding these matters.
